When I'm altering shapes with the direct select too and I try to select an anchor point to move, the little circles appear and curve the anchor point and I do not want that, ever. How can I get rid of that, please tell me there's an option to shut it off. How new is this feature? It's driving me nuts. thanks.

Well, that was simple. Thank you, I had no idea what "corner widget" meant.
