How do I convert the warp effect to permanent shape in illustrator?

I don't know how to phrase this correctly but how do I convert the warp fx appearance from just being an appearance to it being the actual shape of the object? Cause right now it's still a rectangle with an appearance. I want it to become permanently warped.

Go to Object menu>Expand Appearance.
