Hello, I used the curve tool to make a word but I cannot remove the gap in the middle. I want it to be transparent. How do I do remove it?

You can try:
Select all: Object Compound Path > Make
You mean on the center one or the middle one? I tried both and no luck
While it worked for all other letters, for some reason, the a produced an error. "Can't make a compound path. all objects in a compound path must be paths and they cannot be brushed or be part of an object"
I made it the same way as the rest.
Hard to tell from your image how you build it. Can you expand it and try again?
It worked, but now it's flipped (the outside is transparent and the inside is solid)
nvm got it to work
Thank you for the help!
I realised that there was an uncessnessary line connected so I had to undo it. Tried the same process and the outside is transparent again and the inside is solid again
