Hi,

Sorry in advance if this has been asked many times before, but I always have trouble finding information about this stuff online. I have written basic scripts for AE before that use a dockable GUI and load on opening the application. I want to do the same thing in illustrator, but I have tried a couple of  things and it doesn't seem to work. Could someone just give me the basics of setting this up?

Thanks,

James

‌not sure you will have much luck with dockable GUI.

illustrator has very limited scripting capabilities.

even the extension tools available are clumsy and hard to get working.

I've not been able to get them to work with Cc2014

Well, what kinds of things have you tried that you can't get working?

You can use Extension Builder 3 and CEP platform to make dockable Extension panels for CC applications.
