I want the option to have one single line (not list) as an image name like "1. option bla-bla". There is no nest line here, "2. option bla-bla" is over the next image.
How to avoid an enormous gap between a number and a text? it is not fixable in options.
Why "+" at the start of the line become a bullet list uncompromisingly? If I choose "/" in the bullet list window then numbers or pluses disappear. Give me permission to use them at the beginning of the line just as a normal symbol, not as a part of a bullet list.
I'm crying.
In the application preferences > Type there is an option called "Automatic Bulleted and Numbered lists while typing".
You can turn it off.
Yes there is..

Hi,
Just upgraded to v27.0.
Previously had this setting turned off (preferences > Type "Automatic Bulleted and Numbered lists while typing" not sticking no effect).
Problem is, this update of Illustrator is automatically numbering and bulleting, even though the setting is still turned off. I have toggled it on and off, restarted illustrator to no effect.
1. Would it be the case if I was to delete my preferences then I'd loose my current illustrator set up? (Which I don't want to do)
2. Could this be a bug in the new version?
Cheers

There is no bug associated with that setting.

Open the Paragraph tab and click the bulleted list dropdown beneath the left-align icon. You will have an option to turn off the bulleted list for the highlighted text.

Unless you need it, because you are doing for example packaging design.
