Hello,

I am just new to Adobe family and I do not have time to learn the product but I want to do something that i am interested in it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOOUkZIS2m4 is the tutorial I am trying to do but using Adobe 2024 I am stuck. Espcially when I try to add the "Extrude & Bevel" my object become super ugly like see screenshot "error1" and at the end i never get the same as the user is doing in this version. I have tried like 10 times and wasted my 10 to 15 hours and I cannot do because the object totally changed

Anyone can please try this out and see if there is bug in Adobe illustrator 24. I am attaching the project as well.

Hope to get any answer soon.

Regards

Husnain

It looks like you've applied both the new 3D effect (Effect > 3D & Materials) and the classic 3D effect (Effect > 3D & Materials > 3D (Classic)). The video only uses the Classic effect.

Also it looks like your object has a fill; the video only uses a stroke.

The YouTuber has already recorded the steps. Please show a screenshot of your attempt.

Importantly, include the entire workspace in the screenshot -- do not crop it. Select your object, and show the appearance panel (Window > Appearance).

If I try to do the classic as the YouTuber is doing, still I do not get the
same result. Can you please try to record the steps for me Please using new
version. I do not think it will take even 2 minutes for you.
I will be super thankful to you and I have enrolled in Udemy to learn this
tool but I really want to make this right now before getting the full
skills in AI.

Thanks Doug!

I was creating the Extrude & Bevel again and of course I learned about fill and stroke as well and finally I am able to manage what this tutorial is doing. See the screenshot "Done".

Thanks for your help.

My next target is to make the final task that you can see in screenshot "images8. I will contact you if I am stuck but I hope i will do that.

I just installed the Adobe illustrator and without having any how know, I wanted to do the youtube task and thanks I have done it. I took above 8 hours.
