How to keep AI CC 2020 from auto-opening after AI CC 2015 crashes?

I have both AI CC 2015 and AI CC 2020 installed. I use 2015 for work and 2020 for file conversion.

Sometimes 2015 crashes because of a poorly written script (mine). After 2015 crashes AI CC 2020 decides to auto-launch. How do I prevent this from happening?
