How to save a single artboard in cc

I know this is a simple question, I just started using the cc app to save on as well... and I don't see an option to just save 1 artbord

You place the separate artboard .ai file as a link in InDesign and update the link.

There is no option for that when saving as a cloud document.

And you need this to be a cloud document?

To just be able to place a file in InDesign, save it as an AI file with PDF compatibility and you're done.

If you save it on your computer as an .ai file, you can check the "Save each artboard to a separate file" option and specify a range.

Thanks, but if I want it to be link so that changes I make in illustrator should update in indesign - how can I make that happen? When I just click cntrl+s it doesn't update.

No need to export each artboard -- you can choose which artboard to place in InDesign by using Show Import Options.
