How to save Magic wand settings in Illustrator? I am tired to change it after every restart.

I had the same problem and can't stand it the longer I use it (every day). Is there any news to the topic? I can't believe it's not possible to change a startup value for the tools. I would already be satisfied, if the settings were saved WITH the document, so I could create a base documents that delivers the needed adjustments.
