I have a multiple artboard layout for a tradeshow wall that I'm building in Illustrator. After updating to 2026, I now have artboard text overlays/slugs within my file. I need to know how to turn this off please. I provide screenshots to the client for approval and this is slug is going to create more problems for me with the client than it solves. See attached.
FOUND IT! See Attached.
Hello @Caroline29044485qp7d,
Thanks for reaching out. Would you mind unchecking the 'Show Artboard name on canvas' option under the Selection and Anchor Display preferences and letting us know if it resolves the issue?
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi @Brett_GSandF,
I'm so glad you've found the solution! To add on, a little trick that might also be helpful when sending screenshots is to hide the artboard boundary with Apple (command) + Shift + H (View > Hide Artboards).
