Hello @Rati350868981p5m,

We understand that encountering technical issues can be frustrating. Would you mind trying to run Illustrator under Safe Mode (Windows / macOS) and checking if it helps? Also, try to run Illustrator under a different administrator account (Windows / macOS) and share your observations.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Anubhav

Did you try Copy and Paste?

My current system (Ventura) does not work with drag and drop between Photoshop and Illustrator, but copy and paste works.

My other system allows it, but it is dangerous to do, dragging an image with a different color profile into an Illustrator document with another color profile, silently changes the color profile of the Illustrator document.

Place or copy/paste is the better option.

If you do copy and paste from photoshop to illustrator, then that is not possible because vector file you can copy/paste from illustrator to photoshop but not vice versa. The best solution of your answer is that you have to export file from photoshop after you can edit it in illustrator.

You can copy something in Photoshop and paste it into Illustrator. It's usually not recommended, but it's technically possible.
