You need much more RAM to use AI nowadays. 16GB is probably the minimum.

Hello @Supphawit.sam,

I understand you're experiencing issues with Adobe Illustrator, and it seems you can open photos in the program but can't use it properly. As Larry mentioned, you might need more RAM to use Illustrator effectively, and he's correct that system requirements are important for a smooth experience.

Adobe Illustrator, like many graphics-intensive applications, can be demanding on your computer's resources. To use Illustrator comfortably, it's recommended to have a system that meets the minimum hardware requirements. The minimum RAM requirement for Illustrator is 8GB, but for optimal performance, having 16GB or more of RAM is recommended.

However, you can try renaming UXP and CEP Folders.
Sometimes, issues in Adobe Illustrator can be related to corrupted extension data. You can try renaming the UXP and CEP folders. These folders store extension data, and renaming them will cause Illustrator to regenerate them. Here are the steps:

  • Close Adobe Illustrator.
  • Navigate to the following directory:
    C:\Users\<YourUserName>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\UXP
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\
  • Rename the "UXP & CEP" folder to something like "UXP_old/ CEP_old".
  • Reopen Illustrator and check if the issue persists.

If, after trying these steps, you still can't use Illustrator, it may be beneficial to upgrade your computer's hardware, especially RAM, to meet the software's requirements for better performance.

I hope this helps!

Best,

Anshul Saini
