Hello friends, I'm having a problem with Adobe Illustrator, I can't use the brush tool. I'm trying to use to make an tracing over one image, but when aplying on layer I have the "prohibited" synbol on cursor and can't draw.
Is someone knows the solution or is having the same problem?
In order to change the opacity of the layer, you have to target the layer.

Did you open a pixel image (a JPG or PNG)?
There are no brushes in it. If you want to draw with the brush tool you need brushes.
It's best to create a new file and then place the pixel image in it. Then you have default brushes.

Hello Monika, thx for answering
It worked! Now I can use the brush tool, but got another problem, I can't change the opacity of the layer with the image, I've already checked if it's not blocked or unlocked
