I Found and Purchased the Perfect Font, BUT...

.....When I opened the AI/EPS (changeable) file, that PERFECT font was unavailable 😞

And if you open the vector version in Illustrator and select the text with the selection tool, what do you see in the Appearance panel?

According to the Appearance panel, it is still type, so you must be able to select it with the type tool and change the text.

Thx. Yes, I can select with type tool and change to several fonts, but the font with the actual "look" (as pictured) is not there.  (It Actually lists 3 missing fonts when file is opened:  Amperzand, Arizonia Regular, & Marcha)

You have to get those fonts. Or assign similar ones from whatever you have installed.

All of the fonts listed are free (or free for personal use only) and can be found at popular free fonts web sites. It looks like Marcha was used in the example image.

So you downloaded an image from stock that was labeled a font?

Or did you download an actual font (TTF, OTF)
