Illlustrator adding junk id behind unique XML ID label "_000001025405651175250437900000128600"

Hey team

We have a file we have been working with for a few years all built out with unique XML IDs, recently Illustrator has started appending a random number to the end of each layer.

These layers/objects all have unique XML IDs, we use these in javascript when we export them into a SVG.

 

What would be causing this? and ultimately how can we stop this from happening?
No easy way of cleaning this up as its all random, manually need to edit each object/layer

Feel like this has come in with a revent adobe software update
We do work between mac and PC in the team
