Illustrador se sigue cerrando y pierdo todo mi avance

Hace varios meses Illustrador se congela y se cierra, lo que provoca que pierda todo mi avance y no pueda recuperarlo. ¡NECESITO AYUDA!
Leí varios comentarios pero no logro entender como se debe de solucionar.

Mi illustrator se sigue cerrando, primero se congela por unos segundos y luego se cierra. Me aparece una notificación de que se cerró inesperadamente y una notificación para reportar el problema. Aunque tengo la configuración de guardar el avance cada 30s, cuando logro abrir el arichivo nuevamente (ya sea el recuperado o el original) se perdió el avance de más de una hora. 

Leí que varias personas están teniendo este problema, pero aún así no entiendo cuál es el ajuste.

The file is probably gone for good. But maybe the Illustrator team can help.

The problem is not with a file, is related to the program that keeps closing every time I used it. It seems that many people already reported the same issue, however I don't know how to solve it. Can you help?

Ah, OK. So Illustrator is stuck on recovering?

What you can try is emptying the recovery folder. But if you do not have any custom brushes or actions or stuff, then you can also try and just reset the preferences. Hold down cmd+option+SHift (Mac) respectively Ctrl+Alt+Shift (Win) while launching Illustrator. This will erase all your settings.

No, the program keeps closing "due to an error". I have been having this problem for several weeks. Every time it closes because of this problem, I lose my progress. 

I have everything updated, I have the same issue with the beta version
