Really. messed up... c'mon-- no ability to SAVE or SAVE AS or SAVE A COPY.  Keep getting error messages and there is nothing wrong with the original. file.  Adobe what have you done???  Please fix.

Try to turn OFF  Preferences > File Handling > Save in Background.

Thanks Ton... worked like a charm.   What is the issue aboutt Save in. Background and Export in Background?  Appreciate the fast response as I have a ton of work to do in AI.  Best, Deb

I have seen multiple posts where turning off Save in Background solved the problem.

There are reports in Uservoice that indicate that future buils will solve the problem.
