Im working for a client who uses Illustrator 26.5.3. (OSX) I've just downloaded 26.0 via a link from customer services. I explained that this wasnt the version I need and I was told that this is the only version Adobe now offer. They also said I'd be able to find the update on here. Where exactly would I find this? I desperately need this ASAP please!!
Thanks

The current version of Illustrator is vesrion 28.4.1. It can be downloaded and installed using the Creative Cloud Desktop App. Older versions are available dating back to version 27.0.
The current version of Illustrator can open AI files made in any prior version of Illustrator (including 26.5.3). It's not necessary to run an old version of Illustrator to open old files. The current version of Illustrator can also save AI files down to earlier "legacy" version formats. I don't know why your client would still be using 26.5.3 if they have a valid Creative Cloud subscription. Do they have older plugins or something that won't work in the current version?

Hi,
We have Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Illustrator 28.0 installed. When checking updates, Creative Cloud desktop app says it's up to date and doesn;t make 28.4.1 available to upgrade to.
Is this a common problem?
Thanks,
Steve

Can you open your Creative Cloud Desktop App and click on the "Manage Updates" button? The page has a "Check for Updates" button. It will also display any recent updates and show the point release version installed. If your computer isn't already running the current version of Illustrator there could be a setting switch off in "Manage Auto-Updates".
