Please help: illustrator don't place images located in my computer. It places images saved in the creative cloud however. I already tried several advices (including disabling GPU) and nothing fixes this problem 😕 I'm using illustrator (26.3.1) and Mac OS 12.4

If it automatically goes to the cloud, just click the "on your computer" button to allow it to go back to your computer.

Thanks, but i can locate images in my computer - thats not the problem. I'm trying to update images (big size around 3gb) in a document and illustrator dont do the update of the links (or place), and no error message appears. Simply after a progress bar appears, it disappears and nothing happens.

Hi @martar34071912,

We are sorry to hear about the trouble you are facing. If this is happening with a specific file, I would suggest you download the Ai file and other linked images to your Desktop in the same folder and then try updating the links. If it doesn't work, try moving the content to a new document. However, your layers groups & name will vanish.

If this doesn't help either, would you mind sharing the file along with the link over DM? We'll take a look at it.

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks & Regards,
Anshul Saini
