Illustrator 30.0 lagging and still lags when i install earlier versions

Horrible lagging in illustrator. Impossible to get any work done, can't move any objects without it buffering . Tries to click any item and there is no response from illustrator. I uninstall the 30.0 version and reinstalled the 29 versions and it doesn't fix anything. Was working completely perfectly yesterday. Attached video below.

@defaultx7uiv2q46hvw oddly the lagging is affecting 30 and 29 now. When you uninstall 30.0, did you also use Adobe Cleaner too? The uninstaller did not remove corrupt settings files, which both versions 30.0 and 29 are now reading. I would uninstall both again then use Adobe Cleaner to fix common issues and removing outdated Adobe software, cleaning corrupt files, and repairing host files for Adobe server connectivity. When you see the message "Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool completed successfully," press Enter and restart your computer. 

Go back to Adobe.com or Creative Cloud and download a fresh download of Illustrator 2025, Version 29.0 (don't use the previous download of 29 or 30) as that may had corrupted preferences, and install the 29.0 Hopefully that should work. Unless version 28 (Illustrator 2024) was better for you?!

Hi , thank you ive just used the adobe cleaner tool. Illustrator 2024 had no problems at all.. but with the new 2026 release they discarded the 2024 version in creative cloud, not sure how i can download it now :(.. which version should i download now?

So far, Ive reinstalled the 29.3.1 version and it's unusable... I also tried to use it offline .. Im so confused with the drastic change from yesterday sighhhh

I'm sorry to hear the suggestions did not help. Could you try running Illustrator under a different administrator account (macOS), and after rebooting your computer in Safe Mode (macOS) and check if it helps?

Everything is fixed this morning!!! Thank god !!! okay no more user testing on real users pls ❤️ . Current adobe illustrator (2026).
