Illustrator 3D inflate crashing

New Here ,
Jul 23, 2023 Jul 23, 2023

Hi,

Lately I've started using illustrator to create some simple objects and use them in after effects.

Before I any go further, I'd like to present you with the specs of my computer:
AMD Ryzen 9 6900HS with Radeon Graphics(AMD 6800rx) 3.3 Ghz

RAM 32 GB

64-bit windows 11

Everything is fully updated including illustrator itself.

However, everytime I start using it and try to tranform simple shape as an elypse into the 3d object and inflate it it works fine, but as soon as I change depth or try to turn around the object, illustrator crashes.

Yes, my GPU card drivers are updated, yes illustrator is updated, Ram seems to be sufficent(32GB) and I am lost what can I do to make it work?

Thank you for your help,
Blaž

Did you already try and reboot the computer?

Reset the preferences?

Is this a gaming driver? Better use a Studio driver.

Is there any material applied to the object?

Can you show the object?

If the problem still persists, would you mind sharing a few details like:

- Did Illustrator crash or start non-responding while changing the depth of an object after transforming/ inflating it?

- How big are the objects?

- Can you share a sample file that crashes and share a screen recording demonstrating the crash?

Also, would you mind submitting the crash report as suggested in this helpx article: (https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/kb/crash-next-steps.html)? This would help us investigate the crash.
