Do you drag images directly from Photoshop into Illustrator?

In that case what can happen is that the color profile of your Illustrator document gets changed.

When your color management is not set up accordingly, this can also mean that colors get changed.

Things to do:

1. learn color management

2. set it up correctly and above all turn on the color warnings

3. do not directly drag elements from Photoshop into Illustrator

Hi, thanks for your response!

Actually, I’m not dragging anything from Photoshop into Illustrator. My issue in PSD happens when I copy and paste smart objects, like icons or logos, from Illustrator into a PSD file in Photoshop. When I close the PSD document and reopen it after a few days, the vector smart object from Illustrator has changed color. When I open it back in Illustrator, the color code is indeed different.

I’ve already tried different color modes and profiles, and the issue occurs with or without color warnings turned on.

Thanks for your suggestions, though!

Hello @Carolina27507451rc8j,

Thanks for sharing the details. Would you mind sharing screenshots of the Color Settings used in Illustrator and Photoshop, the Color settings for the document, a public link to sample file(s) after uploading it to Dropbox/Google Drive/etc., so we can investigate this further?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Anubhav
