Illustrator color fields not editable

I am used to doubleklick on a color field that I created to change the color, if necessary. But now this works only once after restarting the computer. Then after doubleklicking a color field the usual editing menu opens and I am able to change the color values. But after this first color editing the double klick on any color field doesn't work anymore. What can I do to have the color fields editable more than just one time? Or could this be a bug? Thanks for any answer.

I am working on Windows 11, my Illustrator Version is 30.0.

Problem seems to be solved. After klicking through the color dropdown menu on the top, left, the colors in the color field box are editable again. Not sure if there is a connection between these two menues but color editing works again.
