Hi,

as stated above, Illustrator continuously crashes when i try to close out of the application. Each time i reopen Illustrator i have to set my workspace again because it also does not remember this.

I tried the solution of disabling the tracking for your Adobe account, this worked since November but now Illustrator has begun crashing on closing again since a week or so. It is really frustrating. It doesn't give me an error message, no matter how long i wait. I just have to close it through task manager all the time

Running latest version of Illustrator and Creative Cloud
Windows 10 Pro 64 bit
Intel i7 7700
8GB Ram
GeForce GTX 1060 3GB

Hello @MM-Brian,

Sorry for the late response and the crashing. I hope the issue is resolved by now. If not, I would request you to share a few more details like:

  • The exact version of  Illustrator
  • Have there been any recent changes made to your computer (OS Update/ Antivirus/ Plug-Ins)?

Additionally, you may try updating Illustrator to the latest version, launching Illustrator under a new Administrator account on your computer, and check if it works. If yes, kindly try manually setting the permissions for the preferences folder by following the steps in this article:

https://helpx.adobe.com/in/illustrator/kb/preferences-folder-read-only-error.html

Kindly update this discussion if further assistance is required.

Thanks,

Anubhav
