Illustrator crashing whenever I duplicate or mess with artboards

Hello Can you please tell me why Illustrator keeps crashing whenever I am duplicating or really doing just about any alterations with artboard tool. 

This is an incredibly infuriating issue, expecially considering everything is done within artboards. I am using the very latest update of the program.

Without any system info and ideally some actual crash details we can't tell you anything. You need to be much more specific. That said, the most likely cause are simply hardware acceleration issues, so start by updating your graphics driver if possible. anything more will require proper details to figure things out.
