illustrator display TFF font as boxes

is there an issue with illustrator not dispalying TFF fonts, i had the fonts installed and used prevoioylsy with older versions of illustrator but now with the new update it show the writing as boxes...

Well it says adobe ending the support of this font type by January 2023. so this is not applicable here.

Ok so I tried two different fonts (with TFF format), one displayed fine and the other one not. I am attaching the screen-shots, it is in Arabic writing.

Could it be the font, that is just not working?

Illustrator is very, very, VERY prissy about fonts. If there is anything wrong with the font, then Illustrator will just not want to work with it.

Is Missing glyph protection turned on in the Preferences?

Did this happen when you typed the text? Or did you open a file?
