Illustrator distorting text

I am working on a file that has text and graphics. When I am in the file from my desktop everything looks as it should. If I move the file to my CC folder to share accross devices the text becomes invisible or scrambled.

Before and after screen shots are attached. Once this happens in the file, it seems to corupt it for good. I have tried saving copies, starting new documents and pasting the work into the brand new file, but nothing seems to work.

This is text on a path. There have been a couple of threads on it recently. 

A user suggested that it was fixed for them in the public beta. You could try and install it from the Creative Cloud

Hey LDVEDDER... have you tried converting the text to outlines? Whenever I've had weird text issues in the past this sometimes helped.
