16 GB is not at the high end of performance.

Does this work when you apply it the a small simple rectangle?

Hi eduarda37159882wcps,

Sorry about this experience. As Monika said, effects in Illustrator can be resource-intensive. However, I understand crashes can be frustrating. Please share more details, along with the one Monika has requested. For Example:

  • OS and version of Illustrator
  • Has it started happening after the latest Illustrator update?
  • Are there other applications running in the background? If yes, please try closing them and check if that helps.

Best,

Srishti
