Illustrator File Reverted to Original - How to Recover Last Saved Version

Hi there,

I have been working on a file and recently reopened. It appeared to place something in without anything being dragged onto the screen. I had hit stop on the progress bar to which it had then reverted the entire file back to it's original version.

Is there anyway to revert to the previous worked on version? I have tried to revert, undo etc. but have not had any luck.

So that original version has been saved some time back?

Do you have a backup running on your computer such as Time Machine? Maybe search in there? If you do not have that, install and activate it now.
