Illustrator flattens artwork during copy: how to solve

Dear Community,

I realized that Illustrator flattens artwork when copying it from one document to another.

How can I copy artwork keeping all the layers structure of the original artwork?

Check "Paste Remembers Layers" in the Layers panel to keep the layer structure when copying between documents.
