Illustrator freezes/crashes when I use the fill tool.

At the moment I click the fill tool (fill and line, at the bottom of the toolset) Illustrator crashes.

It happens with the newest version and also with the older versions off Illustrator.

Before it worked fine.  

I work on Windows10. 

What can I do?

Thank you Ton, I just did that but it doesn't help. 
Now also Photoshop starts crashing. 😞

Thanks for thinking with me.

Now I found that the problem must be caused by the extern monitor. With another monitor, or without a monitor it works fine. Curious ....
