Illustrator isn't working

Hi! First of all, I'm a apple silicon mac user.

 

It's been an hour since i can't open any file in AI. The program opens normally until the welcome page, however, if I try to open a file, Illustrator freezes and doesn't respond. It is updated already to the v 26.3.1.

 

What can I do?

Sorry to hear about this experience. Kindly try updating the macOS on your system to macOS version 10.14 or newer and check if it works then.

 

Also, try resetting Illustrator's preferences by following the steps shared in this article (https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/setting-preferences.html) and sharing your observations.
Disclaimer: Please note that resetting preferences will remove all custom settings, and Illustrator will launch with the defaults. You may take a
