Illustrator keeps not responding

Hi all. I am using Illustrator (latest version) on a iMac (late 2013) with macOS Catalina and it keeps not responding. I can not open any document. Can anybody help? Thank you

could you give us more information about your iMac? Also, did you try to do a new installation of the software?

Check the system requirements for the current version of AI. It may be that your computer can no longer run the most recent version and you may need to go back a version.
