Illustrator NOT saving or pulling up last printer

The last two updated in Adobe do not save the last printer used and will not save the settings of "fit to page". PLEASE FIX. I make PDF's and print multiple daily and it's a HUGE time waster when I have to reselect the printer and click done and then change the page to fit and click done and then print.

What OS and Illustrator version are you using?  Is good practice to provide that when posting, so you get a faster answer.

On mac right click on print and choose set as default.
