Illustrator pen feature, increase stroke size

Used the pen feature to draw the outline of a truck. I need to increase the width of the line as the outline line is about 1 pixel. I have tried using the stroke adjustment in the right features box without success.  Thoughts? 🙂

Is the stroke selected? Changing the stroke width only afects the storke seleced.

Thank you for your response. You are correct, I have done a select all for the entire image and just a line select with the same, no change.
