Illustrator, Problem opening file, keeps searching

Hello, Illustrator, approximately every 4 hours, when you want to open another file, it searches for approximately two minutes, without being able to work with the new program. I have to close Illustrator and restart my computer...this happened several weeks ago...I would appreciate it if you could find a solution and answers. It really bothers working like this. THANK YOU

can you please tell us about your system?

Where is the file located? If not on your harddisk, please try and open it from the harddisk

Is there any notice of what Illustrator is searching? Can you post the error message?
