Illustrator v28.1 glitchy zoom and scroll

After I installed Illustrator v28.1, the zoom and scrolling with the Apple Magic Mouse no longer work well. I notice that it's faster, but it's glitchy and imprecise. Scrolling feels like using a 90s mouse in Windows with a clicking scroll wheel. It stops scrolling immediately and doesn't scroll far (which was a real dream when scrolling sideways).

On the other hand, the zoom no longer zooms to where the mouse pointer is, but somewhere else. It's way too fast and also glitchy.

In version v27.9, everything is still as it should be. I even got myself a Magic Mouse for my Windows computer because operating the scrolling and zooming is much better. But not like this, unfortunately, I might as well use a 10 euro mouse from the bargain bin.

I really hope for an improvement; until then, I have to use the old version.

Doe it work better with a different mouse?

I would always prefer a Logi mouse to any of Apple's mouse thingies.

It's not about a dispute over who prefers what, but about the fact that the entire behavior and operation of the touch mouse has changed. And it no longer feels like natural touch, but like a mechanical mouse. Accordingly, I can't test another mouse, because the result would be the same.

My system:
Mac Studio
Chip: Apple M1 Ultra
Ram: 128GB
Display: Studio Display
Sonoma 14.2.1 (23C71)

Fyi: I work in the software development industry myself (UX/UI).

You can obviously see that when zooming in on the circles, the behavior is different. When zooming in on the tape measure, I had no problem. This is centered on the canvas - so apparently from a zoom point it has to be routed to the center of the canvas, instead of to the center of the mouse pointer.

When scrolling, the width of the scroll did not change, but the ease-in-out timing, I think. There is almost no acceleration or deceleration, which feels unnatural with the Apple Magic Mouse and actually also after a shorter distance (even if this is not the case).
