Illustrator Variable Data - Limitation of characters?

Community Beginner ,

Hi, I am wondering if the feature "variable data" of Illustrator has character limitation? Because I have to replace the variable paragraph for 100+ designs but when I import the data it "The incoming variable library is invalid"...

@ngoc_4036 no character limit or the number of designs. "The incoming variable library is invalid," it's likely, the formatting of your data file in the CSV/TXT file that Illustrator sees as invalid structure.

Thanks... I think maybe it doesn’t allow breaking the sentences into separate lines. I combined them into a single paragraph, and it worked! But it might cause a headache since I have more than 400 paragraphs, each with different formatting. T^T

Should I use InDesign instead?

Yes, InDesign is much more suited for such a purpose! Check out the Data Merge feature.
