Illustrator weird selection?

Hello everyone, I'm having an issue with some strange function on Illustrator, it's some kind of selection that I've never seen before (I'm new to Illustrator) and didn't found a solution on the other forum questions. This selection is preventing me to use the pathfinder and I don't know how to use the selection tool on it's normal mode again. Does someone know what's going on?? (image attached)

You have created a live paint group and it looks like you are in Isolation mode.

You will first have to expand the live paint group in order to use the Pathfinder. But expanding it might be a bad idea all in all. Can you please give us the bigger picture? What do you want to achieve in the ende?

I'll attach the bigger picture.

I want to use pathfinder to create a highlight with the result shape, for this I will need to select normally the group of objects.

Did you use the live paint group deliberately? Do you need it?

If not, you could expand it. THen check out the groups and ungroup them.

I tried to use the bucket tool, I think that's why this "strange" selection appeared to me.
