Illustrator won't save!

Hi 

Can someone please help. I am currently using illustrator on a thinkpad - windows 10 and all of a sudden my illustrtr won't save. My IT department have tried unistalling the software then re-installing but nothing seems to work. It gets to 98% then sticks. Unaware i force quit the application and lost a whole days work. Any help would be appreciated.

If not, kindly check if the files you are working on are saved on a network/external drive or a synced folder and if so, please move them to a location on the computer's internal drive and share your observations.
