Hello @Adrian28705805r0r1,
Thanks for confirming. This problem usually occurs when the functionality is affected by other running applications on your computer. Would you mind trying to run Illustrator under Safe Mode or closing all other apps when running Illustrator to see if it helps?
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi Adrian,
I understand how frustrating it is to have this inconsistency with copying and pasting text, especially when Illustrator needs to run alongside other apps like MS Word or Outlook.
Unfortunately, the clipboard behavior can sometimes be affected by how the operating system and other applications manage resources, which is outside of Illustrator’s direct control. To help minimize interference:
1. Whenever possible, close other active applications when working in Illustrator, especially those that frequently access the clipboard.
2. If you’re on Windows, you can try setting Illustrator to “High Performance” in the Task Manager. This can help prioritize resources for Illustrator, which might reduce the issue.
I hope these adjustments may help stabilize the clipboard function and improve your workflow. Let us know if we can assist you with any other questions!
Best,
Anshul Saini
