Inconsistent Copy and Paste in Illustrator

Does anyone have a problem lately in Illustrator with copying files from the program to, for example, notepad? I always used to select text with ctrl + a, then ctrl + c and paste into some notepad, email, etc. And now it does not always work 😕 Sometimes I have to try to do so several times. I am sorry to hear about your experience. Would you mind trying to run Illustrator after rebooting your computer in Safe Mode (Windows / macOS) and checking if it helps?
