Installed typefaces disappearing everytime I turn on my laptop

I've downloaded a variety of typefaces outside of Adobe and installed them into my laptop via Font Book, and these typefaces would always disappear / uninstall everytime I open my laptop the next day. However, when I check Font Book, the typefaces are still in the system so I'm not sure what the issue is. I have to reinstall the typefaces everytime for them to load again in Adobe and this gets rather tedious - if anyone has a solution to this I'd really appreciate it.

I rebooted a couple times after I encountered this issue but it didn't fix it unfortunately 😞

What kind of font files are you installing? Are they Type 1 fonts? If so, Adobe removed support of Postscript Type 1 fonts from its applications not too long ago. It's kind of ironic considering Adobe created Postscript and the Type 1 font standard.

I've been installing either otf or ttf files - I'm pretty sure none of the typefaces I was installing were type 1

Hello @eyeuan,

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. Would you mind confirming the Font name and Foundry of the fonts you're using, along with the OS/Illustrator version installed, so we can check it on our end?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Anubhav
