Issue with Creating New Files in Illustrator

Hello,

In Illustrator, I occasionally run into an issue where creating a new file doesn't work. Both the keyboard shortcut and the menu command become unresponsive.

At first, I thought the "New File" window might be opening off-screen — but that doesn’t seem to be the case, since I can still edit the file I was previously working on without any problems.

The only solution is to save all open files and restart Illustrator, which interrupts my workflow.

Is there a fix for this?

I'm sorry to hear about your experience. Could you try running Illustrator under a different administrator account (Windows / macOS) and checking if it behaves the same there as well?
If the problem persists, kindly confirm the version of the OS/Illustrator installed, and share a small screen recording of the problem (if possible), so I can better assist you.
