Hi.. I have an Illustrator file that opens fine on my Mac, but on Win, it seems a font is missing. Both machines have the latest update of Illustrator.
When I try using that same font in a new document on the Win it appears strangely... however, on the Mac, it works as expected.

I've added/removed while on the Win machine to no avail.
You can see the result in screen caputres below... the left image is how the file should look (this is preview in Createive Cloud files).. however, when opening the file on my Win machine, it is as on the right (some of the missing text is circled in Red and Blue circles... ). The blue circle you can see I selected the empty text, and when selected, is showing some sort of placeholder.
Further, if I open/re-save the file on the Win machine, the preview in Creative Cloud Files is missing the text, but if I open/re-save on the Mac, the preview is correct again.
How do I fix what seems to be a font issue on my Win machine?
Type > Resolve Missing Fonts is disabled on the Win machine in this file (same for the Mac)
However, on both the Mac and the Win machine, Type > Find/Replace Font does NOT list the Poster Cut Neue font (however, in a New document on the Mac when I use this font, it does!)
Note.. it's been about 18 months since I last worked on this file... it was on another Win machine.. I since got a newer Win machine that I am now using (and no longer have access to the old one).. in the mean time, of course, my Illustrator install is new, and probably even updated a few times.
I was on a chat and sharing session w/ Adobe support for an hour, and we made no progress.
I contacted support again, and their first question was: "Could you please elaborate on the issue so that I can assist you better"
The second question was : "Are you working on Windows or Mac?" 🤦
Third question: "May I know just to confirm the fonts which are missing is Adobe fonts or any third party fonts ?"
Resolution...
While I was waiting on the support agent to check their resources, I 'installed' the font for non-adobe products in the Creative Cloud app as shown below.. then restarted Illustrator, and it started working as expected. I then uninstalled the font to see what would happen, restarted Illustrator, and lo-and-behold, it prompted me to install the missing font when re-opening the file.
