Hello @Haithem30690902hzix,
I am sorry to hear about your experience. Would you mind confirming the version of Illustrator installed and if Illustrator behaves this way when working with a particular file?
Also, try running Illustrator under Safe Mode (Windows) and under a different administrator account (Windows) and sharing your observations.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thank you for your response. I’m currently running the latest version of Illustrator. I’ve already tested it in Safe Mode and on a different administrator account, but I’m still experiencing the same issue. The performance issues occur with most files, even simple ones without complex layers or effects. BTW This problem existed before I updated to the latest version.

Hello @Haithem30690902hzix,
Thanks for confirming. Would you mind performing a clean reinstallation of the GPU drivers (Intel / NVIDIA / AMD) and setting the Graphics Preference to High-Performance for Illustrator (https://adobe.ly/3YOIWSs) and checking if it helps?
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Hi,
I just finished reinstalling all my drivers, and I also installed Affinity Designer to test the simplest file I work with. The difference is significant—Illustrator still lags noticeably, while Affinity Designer runs smoothly with the same file. Please check the attached video to see the comparison.
Thank you,

Still no improvement. The strange thing is that it sometimes seems to work with certain files, making me think it's a file-specific issue. However, when I reopen the same file later, the problem returns.

I had the same problem. For me it was because of the Magnet App. When I closed the app Illustrator went back to normal.

It’s strange. I use Windows on both my Intel and AMD systems, but the issue only occurs on my AMD computer, even though it has higher specs. It might be an AMD-specific problem, but I’m not sure.

Hello @Haithem30690902hzix,
I'm sorry you're having trouble with Illustrator's performance on your AMD-based Windows computer. Would you mind confirming if Illustrator behaves this way when working with a specific file/tool/feature? Also, try performing a clean reinstallation of the GPU drivers (Intel / NVIDIA / AMD) and setting the Graphics Preference to High-Performance for Illustrator (https://adobe.ly/4g3s7IU) and share your observations.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks a lot for you help!!!
Since a couple days it started to lag, i tryed to re-install it multiple times, in different versions, but nothing worked out, Illustrator used to lag when using selection.
I closed Magnet App and it started to work properly again!
