Layers are disappearing

I recently got an iPad and I'm not used to the mobile app. My layers keep disappearing, but not the work I've done on it. When I add a new layer and work on it, the work stays but I can't find the layer. Only the first one has stayed so far and it doesn't show the things I've just added even though they still show on the doc. Are they deleting or are they just hidden?

I'm not quite sure what your issue is, have you tried to solve it using the documentation: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/illustrator/using/Illustrator-on-ipad.html

Or if you rather watch videos, try Layra Coyle's channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJvIT9BmwPyqfPahsMMfN6g

I think perhaps it is just an issue of learning how the layers work on an iPad versus on the computer. Clearly the layers are there if the work is there. There are some great videos on using the app here:
