Lost the "share for review" link to the illustrator file

New Here ,
Oct 27, 2023 Oct 27, 2023

Hi. i setup a file i was working on to be shared with others for feedback. i was using the new "share for review" feature.  i'm not sure what happen, but i lost the link to the illustrator file. Does anyone know how to relink the cloud link that is shared with the Working illustrator file it corresponds with. When i first shared the link,  I was able to update the file, that would then update the linked cloud document.  I have lost that capability. If anyone knows how to solve this, it would be much appreciated.

I created a share for review file from a  illustrator file. I shared the link with others. In the past, whenever i would receive feedback , I would make updates that were then reflected in the cloud linked file. At a certain point, i lost the link to the file.  When i open the file in illustrator, I no longer have access to the comments  through the wIndows/comments dropdown menu. I also lost the ability to update the link from illustrator.  Illustrator treats the file as if it need to create a new link. i still get notifications anytime someone makes a comment. What I can't do is update the art in the cloud linked document. So if i make changes in illustrator to the actual art, it is not reflected in the cloud shared link.

When did you initially create that document?

Did you use the beta application for that?

Was there a system update or Illustrator update in-between?

@Anshul_Saini can you please take a look at this?

Hi @grito7272 @gritodmar,

Thank you for reaching out and providing information about the issue you're experiencing. I've reached out to our product team to investigate this further. In the meantime, it would be helpful to know a bit more about the specific details of your situation:

  • Was the file a cloud document (.aic)?

  • How was the link initially created, via "Invite to Edit" or "Share for Review"?

This additional information will assist our team in investigating. Thank you for your patience!

Best,

Anshul Saini
