i need help with mesh tool coloring.when i choose multiple mesh points with shift key a question mark appears in fill section and RGB color panel go away kindly help me out.

yes i can choose that way but i thouth its not right way i saw tutorial on youtube in that video question mark was not appearing on new selections but it was five year old video maybe its difference of newer version of illustrator

I am afraid that I don't understand why that is not the right way.

If there is no question mark, then there is a single point selected or multiple points that have the same color.
