my brush resets settings when i draw

when i set the colour or brush size or anything before i draw it gets reset as soon as i draw, i have new art has basic appearance off, i have reset preferences, i don't know what's happening, please help

I see this problem as either beign a technical issue, or you did not describe to us exaclty what tools and settings you used. Try this and lok for the 4 red circles:

If you have a probelm stil, try resting your prefs

Reset Your Prefs (quick)

Press and hold the 3 modifier keys as you start Illustrator. The new preferences files are created the next time you start Illustrator.

• Alt+Control+Shift (Windows)
• Option+Command+Shift (macOS) 

Reset Prefs Thoroughly (Mac)

Quit Your Adobe App (100% you must do this)

Finder >> Go (hold down option to show hidden) >> library 

Rename these 4 folders

• Preferences >> Adobe  >> Program Name rename to (Program Name .old)
• Library- >> Caches >> com.(Program Name) rename to (Program Name .old)
• Library >> Application Support >> Adobe >> Program Name rename to (Program Name.old)
• /Library/Application Support/Adobe/CEP rename to (CEP .old)
