Hello,

Today 05/08/2023, suddenly my illustrator (Cloud version is always up to date) is not saving my files in ".ai", but creating a ".tpm" (when opening the file it appears empty) what is happening? I need to hand in a job and that makes it complicated. Can anyone help me to resolve?

I await your reply and thank you.

Are your AI files large in file size? The ".tpm" (or is it ".tmp"?) file that is being created could be a temporary file visible while Illustrator is still in the process of uploading the file to cloud-based storage. The cloud-based Illustrator files usually have an "AIC" file extension rather than "AI". If the files are simply failing to upload then the culprit could be something else, such as a firewall setting. Have you updated any other applications before the issue starting happening?

Hello, Windows 10, Adobe applications, Kaspersky antivirus and logically
other programs that I use are updated most of the time but I never have
this problem. Since then, both illustrator and photoshop have been having
problems, Today, 05/09/2023 I am working normally with the programs, but
whenever I use illustrator, the fonts change and only when I open Creative
Cloud/fonts then the typographies I chose in the files go back to
illustrator normally.

You might try logging out of Creative Cloud and logging back in. Do you have your account signed in on more than one computer?

The behavior you described about Illustrator making fonts change sounds odd. Are you seeing fonts or font styles disappear from the font menu? I've observed an odd behavior with Illustrator where some styles of fonts disappear if I have another non-Adobe graphics application and its font manager running at the same time as Illustrator. If I close both applications and then re-launch Illustrator I'll see all my fonts restored.

Hello @willysd75510725,

Sorry for the delayed response. I hope the suggestions shared by Bobby helped resolve the problem. If not, kindly check if your files are saved to a removable/network drive or a cloud-synced folder (OneDrive/iCloud/DropBox/Google Drive, etc.), and if they are, try moving the files to a local directory, like the desktop to check if it helps.

Also, try to run Illustrator under Safe Mode (Windows / macOS) and share your observations.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Anubhav
